§ 2-244. Expenditures, fund raising.

The parks and recreation commission shall have no authority to expend the funds of the city.

The parks and recreation commission, subject to approval of the city council, may, on its own or in partnership with other entities, raise funds for improvements of the parks and other activities. Funds raised for such purposes may only be expended with city council approval.
