A registered property may not be occupied until all outstanding costs, assessments
and/or liens owed to the city have been paid in full.
An abandoned and/or vacant residential structure registered under this ordinance shall
not be re-occupied until a copy of a home inspection report by a certified building
official in the State of Michigan, a registered building inspector in the State of
Michigan, or a home inspection company of the buyers choice that is certified by MAHI,
ASHI, AHIT, NAHI, or NACHI has been signed by the buyer and a copy delivered to the
city.
